VALT is a recording platform for disaster preparedness training centers to record simulations but can also be leveraged and used for other departments as well, providing a shared infrastructure and support cost model. Installation is a snap — VALT uses a central server and leverages existing network infrastructure to store all video recordings so all you need to do is set up our IP cameras and high-quality auto-gaining microphones in each room in which you want to conduct your disaster preparedness training sessions.

A standard internet browser is all that is needed to review recorded sessions. A typical VALT installation holds storage space for thousands of hours of video. Each session is tagged with metadata, making it easy to look up individual video sessions, and tagging makes it easy to build an expansive video library of recordings of counseling and wellness simulations, readily available for future training purposes.

The VALT video software supports a feature known as “talkback”, which lets remote observers speak to the trainees in real-time. “Talkback” is particularly useful when instructors want to convey information to your disaster preparedness trainees without physically interrupting the session.
